It's finally here! My January Ipsy has arrived and it looks very promising. Read more to find out what my Ipsy had to offer this month. If you didn't already, make sure you read Part 1 of this blog for my reaction to the spoilers! This bag is very, very loud. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it yet. I think I will pack it away to use in the summer for sunscreen at the beach or pool. It's not hideous or anything, it's just very intense. I am happy to report that it is a top zipped bag. I hate the front zip Ipsy bags, you can't fit anything reasonable into them! Ipsy subscribers know the struggle I'm referring to. It's also somewhat padded inside which is also very convenient if you want to pack sunglasses or something else delicate. It is a good bag, just not right now. The first item I received was so big it didn't even fit in my bag. It is The Coffee Scrub by Organic Feelings Los Angeles. I haven't tried this yet because I am a little afraid of scrubs right now. My skin has been through the ringer this month due to over sensitivity after testing different exfoliating scrubs. Even with a patch test, I never seem to get the full Idea of how harsh it is going to be until I have used it on my entire face. It claims to be gentile for all skin types, but I am still going to wait a few days. Despite my fears, I do have high hopes for this product. I will write a Subscription Box Hits and Misses post on this product to let you know if it's worth it's full retail price of $18.00. Up next is the Bellapierre StayPUT Brow Gel in Licorice. In my Spoiler Review, I told you guys I usually don't like tinted liquid type brow products. Well, I've been proven wrong. This product is spectacular. The brush comes out of the cap of the product and it is perfect for application. It allowed me to apply the gel in thin hair like swipes in the direction of hair growth with ease. A quick brush with a spoolie and it looks totally natural. I am very happy with this - it's worth all $25 of it's retail price. Ipsy Subscribers can order it and get 15% Cash back here! The next item in my January Ipsy was the Real Chemistry Fresh Start Foaming Cleanser. I haven't tried this yet either because I am currently using a Face Wash/Moisturizer combo from First Aid Beauty to even my face back out. I was a little disappointed with the sample size until I read the description. The directions call for you to only dispense a dime-sized amount of cleanser onto fingertips and gently work to create a foamy lather. I am also excited that it has a light natural grapefruit fragrance, which is one of my favorites. It claims to gently remove impurities, make-up, and excess oil. This is in addition to claiming that it's hydrating ingredients and deep cleansing amino-acids leave the skin smooth and soft. This is a lot for one little product to do, so hopefully it lives up to his self-proclaimed hype. Next up in this month's Ipsy was the NYX Lip Lingerie in Beauty Mark. Normally, I would be annoyed to receive another Liquid lipstick, but this color is amazing! It also lasted all day long through 2 hot cups of tea and a Scone. It didn't get dry and it left my lips feeling amazing afterwards. I may buy a few more shades of this, because I am in love with this formula! The last item in my January Ipsy was the Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Johnny's Angels. I absolutely love this nail polish! It is fast drying, long-wearing, crack and chip-resistant. It took about 3 coats to get a solid finish and has been on for about 3 days now. I am very happy with it. Then again I am almost always happy with Nail Polish!.
This month's Ipsy really killed it this month, on value and item variety! I really think that Ipsy is the best value out there for a $10 bag - the brow gel was worth $25 alone! Briefly, I considered canceling my Ipsy to save a little money, but after this month, it looks like I'm going to have to cut something else out. Thinking about getting an Ipsy? I have one free bag left! Leave me a comment and I might just send it to you! Don't forget to Share and Follow on Instagram, Youtube and Twitter!
