11/18/2018 1 Comment November Boxycharm ReviewNovember's Boxycharm is here and I am in love with one of the items! The rest - not so much. Read more to find out which one of my long time favorite brands disappointed me and which new brand knocked my socks off! I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PALETTE! The shades are gorgeous and they are so blendable. Ace Beatue has been catching my eye on Instagram for some time now. When I saw this in our spoiler I got very excited - and it did not disappoint! The metallics are creamy yet buildable. The mattes are super pigmented and blend like a dream. As you can see in the swatches the light colors look great on my skin tone! CoverFX Glitter Drops – Nova - $44I have very mixed feelings about these glitter drops. I really wish they were a bit more blendable because it totally ruined my look last when I tried to apply it with a damp beauty blender as highlighter. I really think this product will work better as a body highlighter, especially because its so darn glittery. It also might look nice on the eyes - but I will not be using it a highlighter again. Why do I keep getting lashes? I don't use them, I do not need them, and I certainly do not know anything about them. The good news is - I will be doing a big lash giveaway within the next few weeks for the holidays so be on the lookout on my Instagram page @ravan_alexandra for more details! Luxie Luminous Eye Set - $30I am so disappointed in these brushes. I love Luxie - they are my favorite brushes of all time, but why are these so dang teeny? I tried them with the Grandiose Palette and couldn't get the right amount of product on the brush because the bristles are so short. It was either too much or not enough every time, and the blending capabilities were limited. A rare miss from Luxie. Jonteblu Glittering Star Eyeliner - $5I don't like Jonteblu. Every single product I've received from them feels like Wet n’ Wild in the 90s - just pure garbage. This eye pencil is no different. The glitter is ugly, the pencil is dry and doesn't apply smoothly at all and when I tried to sharpen it the middle fell out and I had to sharpen it nearly 1/4th of the way down just to get any product again. This crap is cheap. Based on my reviews you would think I was very disappointed in my Boxycharm but I’m not! I am so happy with the Grandiose Palette that I could have got an empty box with only that and I’d still be pleased!
My only true disappointment is not receiving the tweezers. I actually held off on buying new ones because I was so excited about the Farah set in the Spoilers. What did you think of your Boxycharm?
